Location in the State of New York

Dewolf Point State Park is situated within the Town of Orleans.

The Park forms part of Jefferson County, New York.

Opening season

The park is open from May to mid-September.

The cold climate in the winter season has not proved conducive to attracting viable numbers visitors to DeWolfe Point State Park outside the spring and summer months.

Facilities offered by the park include a gazebo, a boat launch and docks, cabins, fishing, picnic tables, and a campground with tent and trailer sites. The park has notable views overlooking Lake of the Isles.

Proximity to US-Canadian border

Dewolf Point State Park is the first recreational area which visitors from Canada come to, when crossing into the United States over the Thousand Islands Bridge.

The park is easily accessible to visitors, being close to Interstate 81, which links northwards to Canadian Highway 401. Dewolf Point State Park thus offers convenient recreational facilities to Canadian visitors seeking to avail themselves cross-border shopping opportunities in the region and to New Yorkers returning from travel in Canada.
