El Centro de Oro (Center of Gold), also known as the "Golden Block", is a Puerto Rican commercial district centered on the "5th & Lehigh" intersection in the Fairhill neighborhood in the east side of North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1]

Puerto Rican cultural rhythms, businesses, and restaurants flourish in the area. El Centro de Oro is home to many family-owned businesses, cultural centers and organizations. Notable organizations include Taller Puertorriqueño, Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha, and previously included Asociacion de Musicos Latinos Americanos. Taller Puertorriqueño (Puerto Rican workshop) is a community based cultural education organization dedicated to preserving, developing, and promoting
