Islam in Bhutan

According to Muslims constitute over 5% of the population,[1] but the same source warn that statistical methodology used in research is not reliable. However the CIA factbook claims that Muslims are less than 1% in Bhutan.[2] In 2009, the Pew Research Center estimated that 1% of the population, or 7,000 people, were Muslims.[3] Bhutan only recognizes Buddhism and Hinduism as a religion and Islam has no recognition.[4]
