Qualitative Research is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal covering qualitative research methods in the fields of sociology and other social sciences. It was established in 2001 and is published by Sage Publications. The editors-in-chief are Bella Dicks, Karen Henwood, and William Housley (Cardiff University).

Abstracting and indexing

The journal is abstracted and indexed in Scopus, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2013 impact factor was 1.416, ranking it 23rd out of 137 journals in the category "Sociology"[1] and 13th out of 92 journals in the category "Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary".[2]
